About Maya
Originally from Saint Augustine, Florida, Maya is an actor, scenic designer, writer, and illustrator based in New York City.
Across disciplines, she has worked with renowned theatres such as SoHo Rep, La MaMa Experimental Club, SoHo Playhouse, Clubbed Thumb, Theatre for a New Audience, The Kennedy Center, and South Coast Rep, largely on the development of new work. Her own writing has been developed and featured by the Elif Collective, the Barnard College Movement Lab (Ae/eI Festival), and The Blue and White Magazine, where she was a staff writer and illustrator.

Maya graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Columbia University with a B.A. in Drama & Theatre Arts (acting focus) alongside studies in English & Comparative Literature. For her body of work as a graduating senior, she was awarded the Dasha Amsterdam Epstein Prize in Design and Production.
