About Maya
Originally from Saint Augustine, Florida, Maya is an actor, writer, designer, and producer based in New York City.
Across theatrical disciplines, she has worked with SoHo Rep, La MaMa Experimental Club, SoHo Playhouse, The McKittrick Hotel, Clubbed Thumb, Theatre for a New Audience, The Kennedy Center, Classic Stage Company, and South Coast Rep, largely on the development of new work. She is a Key Artist and founding member of The Elif Collective, and the Art & Media Director of WAXWING Productions.
Recently, her play Dovecote was co-produced by Elif and WAXWING as a staged reading at Five Flies Coffee and The Tank's LimeFest
Upcoming, she joins the cast of Lennox Mutual with Candle House Collective.
Maya graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Columbia University with a B.A. in Drama & Theatre Arts (acting focus) alongside studies in English & Comparative Literature. For her body of work as a graduating senior, she was awarded the Dasha Amsterdam Epstein Prize in Design and Production.
